Congratulations to student-writers whose short fiction and poetry appear in the latest volume of The Carillon, a literary magazine published at UNK. Copies of the latest edition (vol. 36) are available at the English Office in Thomas Hall.

The editors inaugurated a new prize, the Carillon Bellringer Prize for flash fiction (fewer than 1000 words). The submissions were judged by Matt Mason, Nebraska State Poet.

The Carillon is published once a year in spring. Look for a call for submissions in the fall. “Its purpose is to encourage quality undergraduate writing at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
