Student Success Announcements

Scholarship News
This year’s recipient of the Adams Family English Scholarship is Coleman Riggins, a junior from North Platte, Nebraska. He is a double major in English Education 7-12 and English (writing emphasis) with a minor in Creative Writing. He is a member of Sigma Tau Delta and UNK’s Secondary Education Club.
I enjoy editing and writing a lot and utilize these skills as an editor of UNK’s literary magazine, The Carillon. I am currently doing research in the Undergraduate Research Fellow program, looking into the implications of gendered language in academic writing from the last half-century. I hope to continue my ventures in English education with a career in English High School Education or even education at the collegiate level.
Thank you to the donors for their generous investment in UNK students. Thanks as well to the University of Nebraska Foundation. Congratulations, Coleman! To learn about last year’s Adams Family English Scholarship recipient, see HERE.
