On Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 7 pm the Film Club is showing the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower at the World Theatre in downtown Kearney. A discussion will follow immediately after the show.

The students in the Writing Circle Learning Community extend an invitation to all students (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors) to join their writing accountability group (any genre) that will meet every other Wednesday (5:00-6:00 pm on campus) during the spring 2023 semester to share works-in-progress. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 is the deadline for submissions to a high school writing and art contest, the Nebraska Emerging Writer Contest, sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta along with the American Democracy Project, Phi Eta Sigma and the Writing Center. Scholarship News
✨ This year’s recipient of the Don Duryea Memorial Scholarship is Halla Paschold.
Halla is graduating from UNK with a B.A. in December 2022. At UNK, she was involved in Residence Life, The Antelope, Sigma Tau Delta, and served as Editor-in-Chief of The Carillon in 2022. After graduation, she will return to UNK as a student in its Higher Education Student Affairs master’s program.
